Thanks for the info. Sounds a bit like the one that resurected the battleship yamato and turned it into a star ship. It was Star something, I want to say star tours but that brings up some bad thoughts. Especially if they were only the three hour tours.

You'll be thinking of Star Blazers / Space Battleship Yamato. Both series were created by Leiji Matsumoto, so there's a striking similarity in styles.

I'm a Matsumoto fan myself, and when I saw the line of Sankyo pachinkos based on Matsumoto series (Yamato, Galaxy Railways, etc), I figured they would eventually get to my favorite, Captain Harlock. I lucked out:

Well I made my machine cyclic today thanks to Arby's directions and also installed volume controls. I was not one much for the dark side, but this might just bring me over! Now I just need to figure out how to get LP here to clean it!

So I have been playing this one now for about 3 weeks and have hit both the 100 spin fever and the other "timed" fever. I have yet to get a positive outcome from the coin flip. I have also been unable to figure out the following elements:

1) What triggers the guns to come into play during a reel spin, and does this require any user interaction?Sometimes it's 1, sometimes 2 or 3....
2) The video on YouTube shows the reels backing up/reversing, and I have only seen that once but it was caused by a gun firing at the reel and "re-spinning" it - again is user interaction required?
3) Sometimes the small video port opens and you get a message from one of the other characters, but sometimes it pops up blank then goes away....again can anything be done here to set events in motion?
4) I have yet to set off the timer countdown, is this a result of the coin flip or a specific reel combination when entering the fever mode?
5) What causes all the little robots to flood across the screen, is it random?

I love it regardless (I mean it's Matsumoto...what's not to love) but I would hate to know that all this time I could have been doing things to increase the fun of the game.

I know playing it longer would reveal more of the "tells" but are they all luck based and is my only interaction when the game pops the "chance" icon?

I think the answer to all this is: It is all random. It has a wide variety of screens to keep you from getting board. The amount of guns that turn is a clue.
