Default A Ballsy New Year's Resolution

This year I resolve to round up and recapture all those oppressed Pachinko Balls that have sought and achieved liberty over the last year

Their many varied escape attempts over the last year have made the "Great Escape" look mild by comparison. One very successful tactic to escape confinement has been to first create a diversion by orchestrating a Fever round followed up by a mass escape "over-the-wall" during the resulting confusion

During another highly successful episode, the rebel balls skillfully co-opted a young inexperienced and impressionable ball lifter tube and actually convinced it to disengage from the assembly allowing the malcontent balls to tunnel upwards and to disgorge an entire company of peers all over the floor before the negligent jailer could unplug the mechanism. He learned the hard way that forcing the tube back into place against the still rotating sprocket and the frenzied tide of desperate balls just wouldn't work.

Once let loose, these polished balls are masters at escaping detection and will covertly hide in the smallest and un-likeliest of places. The boldest of these terrorists will then quietly lie dormant for long periods and then perform the ultimate sacrifice by immediately rolling forth to throw themselves underfoot of their hapless jailor whose sin was to pass too closely

This anthem is often heard during a successful "roll-out", and I'll be the first to admit that the tune does grow on you

Past negotiations with their leader, "Silver McQueen" has included threats of Cyclic and Semi-Cyclic "Coolers" but that hasn't seemed to work. Perhaps I still enjoy the thrill of the chase far too much?

For the coming year I have capitulated on one of their main demands and promised them that they would be let out into the Pachinko exercise yard on a much more frequent basis. This is only a diversion ploy on my part while I seek the help of a professional "hired gun" - a parlor Ball Magnet.

Well done dishpan..........I myself find these "escapees" everywhere, in my driveway, walkways and gardens. And yes, even in my silverware drawer. (I guess they are trying to blend in.) How they get in these places are beyond me. But I figure, if they have made it that far they can stay there. That way future archaeologist can judge what type of people we were from their presence.

Do you mean that all that time I've spent on the floor on my knees or bent over picking up balls has been worth it? I've now got Buns of Steel!

Everytime I see one of those magnets I'm tempted to pick one up but then I talk myself out of it. I guess I've spent too much time arround computers and magnetic media; enough so that I'm leery about magnets in general.
