Increase Pachislo Coin Hopper Capacity ???

I'm new to Pachislo and recently set up my first two machines (Super Black Jack and King Camel). From reading the posts in this forum, I decided to buy plenty of tokens with these machines, so they are set for big bonus round payouts.

I've got about 750 tokens in each machine (with another 1000 tokens if needed), but I see that each machine's coin hopper has an overflow slot on the side, and when I get around 2 inches of coin depth in the hopper, any new coins just slip out of the slot in the coin hopper and fall into the bottom of the Pachislo machine.

It appears that if I would somehow cover up these slots, I could have another 2 inches of coin depth per hopper.

Is there a preferred way of making this modification to cover up the overflow hole?

duct tape a piece of cardboard over the low area on the hopper to make it hold the tokens? At least that was my simple and inexpensive fix.

Just don't forget to tape a piece of the duct tape, to the duct tape you block the overflow opening with. That way, tokens won't stick to the piece of duct tape.

Stealth just uses doubled black duct tape on the overflow side.
