Default I Just Won Our First Pachinko On Ebay And Have ???

Been looking at Pachinkos for a bit, and wasn't sure about them, I'm still not sure about them! I won a JULIE for $295 shipped on ebay. It's a gift for my wife. I hope she/we likes it. Julie looked the coolest out of all the pachinkos I saw, I hope it was the right choice. Is 1000 balls fine or will I be needing more? If more how many more? Is there anything I need to know about pachinkos or Julie before I get it seeing how this is my first pachinko, other than making room for other pachinkos. LOL Thanks!

Congratulations on your win. Julie is one of the hot machines out there right now. I have one and I think it is a great machine. Very vibrant colors, a lot of action on the screen and the potential to blow-out your eardrums. Julie definitely needs volume controls. There are several Julie threads that will tell you just about everything you need to know.

I see you have been listening to us, Julie looks to be a great machine. excellent choice. Might as well get some more balls you will need some for your next machines anyway.

i have 2500, but, it is mounted in one of my cases with a huge hopper. i like not having to reload while in its many fever rounds.
when you open the frt door you will see the speakers at the top. its easy to install vol controls near each one.

1000 actually is enough, I was messing with you on getting more machines. The next ones might need more, some sales include 400-500 no where enough , I have no idea what a julie fever can pay, 1500, 1800? you have to cycle the balls from the lower tray back to the top of the machine, minus what is in the loser bucket that means 3-5 bucket brigade runs per fever. I did this for the Mrs. on her first fever she kept me busy refilling the hopper, best bet is a larger capacity top hopper or a ball feeder. The Mrs. wants ball feeders on all the pachinko now that she seen one in use.

Bird brain... I read in another post you said you converted to semi cylic. Whats that all about? Also why do people add a start switch? what's that about? Anyone!

start switch allows you to simulate a ball dropping into the start pocket. this 'starts' the video reels spinning and the whole light show. the reels determine if you will win a fever round or not.this mod makes it easy to show off the machine without haveing to take the time to fire a ball into the correct pocket or open the glass and drop one in there manually.
semi-cylic reroutes the balls that would normally dump out the back of the machine (lost balls and balls that drop through the pockets)to the front lower tray. you no longer have to reach around the back to recover these balls. it just makes it easier to move the balls to the upper payout tray on top.this involves cutting a 1"x1" hole in the side of one ball track and blocking the port where the balls normally dump out the bottom in the rear.
a full-cylic conversion reroutes the balls directly to the shooter tray but involves serious cutting of the the ball tracks in the rear and the machine no longer pays out balls at all. the advantage is you can play the machine with as little as 25-50 balls.I ,personally, enjoy the balls being paid out.

You can also do a cross between the semi and full cyclic. Where if involves alot of work on the ball tracks and routes them back to the shooter tray AND you can still use the hopper if you desire to have balls paid out. This is how I do my machines, I usually don't care too much about paid out balls, but every once in a while it's fun to have them fill up the tray.

This is the only way to do a Heiwa or Ginza machine as they only have one ball tray.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

Congrats!! Nice machine you grabbed there. Hopefully I'll find a Julie cell myself now that I have a Lumina case coming.

Personally, I like to have around 2000/machine. You can do it with 1000, but your fever rounds will be a little more "active".
