    Default Blown Power Supplies

So, earley in my foray into importing machines, I didn't set enough ground rules to prevent people from plugging 24V machines into the power outlets.

As a result, I have a few machines that have blown power supplies that need fixing.

I popped one open, and found a FUJI 15amp fuze was blown (looks like a slow blow fuze), but am not sure that would be the only part thats bad.

Anybody know if that is the only fuze that goes, or do other parts genreally go aw well?

Turns out, Radio Shack does not carry that fuze in stock.

depends on the supply some the fuse will blow others the rectifier will blow if your good with electronics i'd replace the fuse and take a good look over the pc board also let that nose have a crack at it if you smell a electrical burn from any component it may be toast . but yes i have had a few supplies that the fuse did save the machine its worth the try .......as for the machine none of the machines i got that were labeled fried due to plugging in 110 outlet and i was able to repair had any damage to the machine it was always confined to the power supply .although some on here have reportedly fried a machine ......where ya at sparky fess up .........if i remember right it was from installing a transformer backward that fried the machine tho nothing like stepping 110 up to 440 then applying it to a 24 volt machine ......

    Hey,
I might have a few of those power supplies in stock for parts, if you would like send me a picture of the exact one you need and I will check for you, it should be the same one as a Gammera style machine, most times it lists on the back label of the machine if it is a 24 volt machine or a 100volt machine, if you don't know, the best way is to have a transformer rigged up with a cord end on it to try first that you will not blow anything.

    Thanks,

    Jeff
