Default New to Pachi games - Recommendations?

    Hey everyone!
Just found out about the wonderful world of pachi games. Actually Dad had a Pachinko game some 20 years ago but never got to touch it Let me jump right in with my first post and ask some basic questions to those who can help me.

I'm looking to pick up one or two for the game room. I like both the Pachislo and Pachinko but for looking at Pachislo right now since I think it would be more up my wife's alley. Any recomendations on what to look for in a first (and or second) machine?
Just having the barest of info on Pachi games I guess I would be looking for one with the following:
    - One that has a good replay factor - i.e. something to make you want to come back and play.
    - A display monitor with Bonus Games of Footage
    - One that has a "Vegas" look and play - I'm a long time anime fan and could go for some of those available but looking to get at least one for my wife.
    - Names of any reputable dealers would also be appreciated.

Here are some I've seen (ebay) that look interesting
    Super Black Jack 21
    Azteca (2?)
Speed Racer (for myself - fond childhood memories)
Any info on the bonus game play on these would be appreciated.
    Thanks, James (Delgrieve)

First off, let me welcome you to PachiTalk! Hope you stick around for a long, long time!

Pachislo - one that I don't have is Sinbad Adventure, but do a search for it and you'll read a lot of good things about it. The trouble is, there are so many good ones to choose from. As far as my recommendations, just click on my journal link in my sig, and check out a few of the machines I own. (One of my favorites is the King Camel, no video on the machine itself, but a lot of strange reel action. See the video of it there.)

Pachinko - Far too many to choose from! I like 'em all!

But not to worry, you'll get some good suggestions from others here.
Check my member page here or...

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

I would also recommend Sinbad Adventure as a first Pachislo - it is a very popular machine with the Membership here........

I suggest you take a look at Pachinko Machines too don't readily write them off as not being you're Wife's 'thang' - show her some Video footage, etc - you may be surprised !!!!

Also check out the Museum here (2nd button from right - at the top of the page) - you will need to register first - use same Log-in details as for here..........

There is also lots of helpful info to be found in the Journals Section - as well as using the 'Search' function.........

    oh and .............
    Welcome to Pachitalk

You are a member of a new nation, Pachination

The concept of PachiTalk was to bring together anyone and everyone who has a passion for these amazing Japanese creations. Once you stepped through the doors at PachiTalk.com, you become part of the Pachination.
You are no longer Japanese, American, English, Italian, German, etc. (If I missed you I am sorry). You are now considered a Pachinational, put that on an application! We are all one big entity amongst ourselves and our Pachis. Segregation is not our philosophy and the seperating of diffent cultures will not happen, we are one, under the Pachi Flag.

We are the United Nations of Pachiland....

Welcome to the Show... It seems that SBJ meets most of your requirements.
Probably would be the one you would be most happy with.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I look forward to the knowledge you can provide me. gaktradiinginc looks like a great site to pick up some games at a good price! Any other sites out there I might check with good pricing - esp for the Super Black Jack I seem to be drawn to?

Its a BIG step and I want to get things off to a good start with my first pick. Thanks again to everyone for the help. I'm sure I will have more dumb questions as I stumble forward.

You might as well get 2 or 3 right away and try to get a deal on Shipping A very large percentage of the members here came looking for suggestions for their first machine and ended up buying several within a week or two

You might also want to check out Stealth. Don't forget to take a peek in the PachiTalk auction... Machines get listed there all the time. Nothing better than to buy from a fellow PachiTalk member.

It doesn really matter what you buy cause they are all great, i would put $20 on it that after three months you are going to have the whole lot recommended on here anyhow due to the addictive nature of Pachi. I thought id be safe with one machine, my sinbad adventure and six months later weve got four! .....
    WELCOME to the tribe.

Well since I'm a pachinko person you don't really need to listen to me if you don't want, but I will tell you what seems to get recommended the most for first timers around here...(you will notice that these have already been listed above, but why not one more time...)

For a LCD machine with a casino theme, I don't think you are going to beat Super Black Jack!

For a mainly all reel machine with the wackiest reel action around, King Camel is for you!

And if you are feeling the pull of the BIG screen, then Sindbad Adventure Is the way to go!

But just make it easy on yourself and get all 3 now.....It' just a matter of time anyway.

    And...

    WELCOME!!!

Thanks again for more recommendations. I've seen Stealths wares on ebay and site and impressed by the videos.

I've seen a SBJ on ebay for $177 ($100 shipping) from SlotUSA - Any thoughts on them? Price sound about right? Note I saw a volume control on Stealth's but not necessarily SlotUSAs... Is the volume control standard or after market?

While I'm asking is there anyone selling machines to be wary of?

One last question. I noticed the "Popeye" game (and one or two others) - they seemed to have an interesting video display. It looks to go around the wheels. Is it a different set up or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Thanks again for the info/support. James (Delgrieve)

Yes, Popeye does have a large screen around the reels.

I bought one machine from SlotUSA, my only problem with them was the shipping cost.

Milt at Stelth and Gaku at GAKTrading will both install volume controls if you ask. By all means, if you get a machine without volume controls, at least order them to put on yourself.

Popeye is a awsome machine. I was on it for what felt like a hour, but turned out to be three. Again Popeye is awsome. I also own the sister pachislo machine of Popeye with a big LCD screen, Gamera! However I cant recomend it, because it is boring compared to Popeye. Not as much action going on. Pretty to look at though. I'm new to this forum too, this is actually my first post. Enjoy, AND GET POPEYE.
