There was a change at my polling place. We used to have the punch cards...but now we have a photocopied form with ovals that need to blackened in. I don't know if that was the planned method or a back-up to an electronic system that had problems. I felt like I was back in High School.

I was pleasantly surprised that even WE here in the sticks of PA have gone touchscreen for voting today.

When I was done, a volunteer asked my opinon on the new screens.

I told them that I've played much better Nintendo games in the past, and I didn't think it would sell.

we filled in the ovals also, but then the ballot was entered into a machine to count it.

so they have electronic, plus a paper backup.

In my voting booth they had an IGT Pull Arm instead of the usual lever to close the curtain. Too bad Million God wasnt one of the candidates!

Been there Done it. We do it Like Lucydog said. Paper Ballet, that you you connect an arrow with a black line. Then you put it in a machine that reads it.

Yes, mine worked like LD's. After filling out my ballot, it was placed into what looked like a copy machine which scanned it and then ate it

some amendments passed, people don't know what they are voting for.

they passed a bullet train bill a few years ago and there is no money for one.

they passed less kids in classrooms, but no money for more new teachers.

slots at tracks passed over a year ago and the state has been dragging their feet on that one.

Where I voted, they had two electronic machines, but only one was working. Most people were using paper ballot, but I waited and used the "electronic slate" as they called it. It was easy and painless. They even kept the polls open an hour longer here in Lancaster, because of problems with the machines.

how were the Amish polling stations set up? (serious question..with no humor intended).
