What can anyone tell me about this machine? I received an excellent second chance offer and was wanting to know if anyone else has one or if they have played it and can recommend it or not.

Make sure that offer goes through ebay's second chance offer system, and is by the same seller.
I don't like the "sold as is" comment in his auction. It's a newer machine and you should have some kind of warranty I would think.

The case is a Heiwa 'Hotaru' frame, I've got a Pretty Band in the same Ronald McDonald Red/Yellow colours, and a Dragon Monkey in the much nicer chrome/silver grey combination.

Other common machines using this case are Festival Story, New Art Masterpiece, Thunderzone, Bravo Five, Batman, Jet Kids, Lupin the Third, Big Shooter. There are a few others as well but I can't quite work out the translations right now!

You got a great price LeWood, I paid a lot more for mine but then it was Arbytized and is in the grey, black and chrome case which performs triple duty with my ThunderZone and Cold Wintry Wind game.

It's a great retro wing-type game called Double Wing K made by a quality manufacturer, Heiwa in 2004.

You shoot your balls into the bottom "1" or "2" pockets and it opens up the flipper doors above (the wings on the small wingman airplane) to accept balls and perform a bombing run. The "2" pocket opens the wings for twice as long. If you manage to hit the "V" pocket with the moving bomb launcher, you've won and then enter the bonus game.

There is no video screen and you won't miss it. This game doesn't need one. The small LED screen suits this game. The sound effects are very retro and you'll like the case lights. The entire door lights up to accompany the sound of a jet taking off when you hit the bonus game.

There is also a twin game called Double Tiger V, with the same cell elements but a different color scheme.

I personally love the games that use mechanical means to move the ball, spin real reels, and other actions rather than having an lcd screen. Very cool.
