Default Big$$$ for vintage on eBay

WOW....I had my eyes on this one but the bids went through the roof. Obviously in nice condition but is this a rare version?

Wow it is super clean. 1 big foot. needs a rear bucket to catch balls. It says the key words, fully functional. some people could not fix one if it had a bad bulb and this would put buyers at ease. HINT for any sellers!

What can I say.......a $79 machine for $386. There is a sucker born every minute.

I agree that a vintage machine should only bring $ 50.00 to $ 75.00. I have two that I bought for $ 75.00 for both. They needed a good cleaning and new balls, but they look nice in my gameroom. Frank A, Jackson, NJ

I will admit that there a bunch of machines out there that aren’t worth the cost of shipping but I can't agree with you guys that a vintage machine should only bring in $50.00 to $75.00 dollars. The vintage machines I sell have been fully cleaned, repaired or refurbished. I don't know about you but the cleanest machine I bought still took me a week to breakdown, clean and reassemble. I've got a few that I'm putting off because they will take longer, should make a good winter project. If that machine is as clean as it looks in the auction photos then the sell deserves every cent they can get.

Oops didn’t mean to go off on such a rant. I’ll get off my soap box now.

I have a beautiful vintage. No rust, perfect chrome, perfect back, perfect original case, perfect glass, lights all work, mechanically perfect. I would not let it go for less than $400. There just are not that many like this one around any more.

And, even if you should offer me $400, it's not for sale.

Some people WILL pay for a quality refurb job.
Like slothappy said, it put buyer's minds at ease with the key words.

It sure looks nice... and the cell has no sign of that nasty water staining around the nails.

I personally wouldn't pay that for it... but then again, I'm not afraid to clean them up and refurb them, too.
Many people don't have a clue how to do that, or they don't have the resources, or the time... and for those people it's a deal.

I have said it before some can't change a bulb, and are willing to pay others to do it, my remodeling buisiness is a result of this modern trend and I am happy about it cause I earmark some funds for buying my hobbie stuff.
