What makes NY (Racinos) different then other places is that all there games are controlled by one central computer. Here in Delaware each game has its own random number generator. In NY the games are like dumb terminals and a central computer determins the out come for them all. With video poker how you play your cards make no difference as to what you win. It was explained to me that if you were delt a royal flush for 4000 credits and you only hold 1 card and end up with nothing you still somehow win the 4000 credits. I have not seen this first hand but this is how it was explained to me by the Techs that work up there. I am trying to get sent up there to work at Yonkers for a while but there are no openings right now.

    Uh oh...
Isn't that what Pennsylvania is doing, too?

I think I read that somewhere?
Because they wanted to keep a tight thumb on everything and have "instantaneous" access to how much money they are making.

Then again, I've also read that we will have a mix of video and reel machines.
Or doesn't that matter? Can reel machines be dumb terminals, too?

Sorry for the ton of questions.

Reel machines should be able to be dumb terminals becuse the reels are just for show and in no way determin a win. Delaware doesn't use that system so I'm not real familiar with it. I know only what I'm told by the NY techs. As of right now PA are buying the games from us not leasing them, so there are not going to be any Vendor techs on property. I guess they figure 1 less way they have to split up the loot. Without vendor techs the house techs have to fix all game issues or they would call in a vendor tech from our AC office at $175.00 an hour plus travel time. Anyway I'm not sure how PA is going to be running things but the word around the water cooler is that there is already tons of corruption in there system.

I went to the local river boat last week and they have stacks and stacks of casino cups but out of three floors of slots only 30 of them on the first floor were ti to... rest were tickets... I also found that the ticket ones paid more than the token ones.. and the token ones were very rarely being played... they have also went to the video slots. its about 50/50 now on the reel and video slots.

There is a new river boat opening up about 30mins from me in Nov. anxious to see what its gonna be like... be nice not driving 2hrs. one way to a casino...

Hard Rock Casino in Tampa is all ticket or cash in and ticket out.

They are all video slots with bingo numbers above the screen. you must have bingo in a line to win on the video screen.

10 cent minimium is 5 lines for 50 cents.

25 cents is 5 lines for 1.25--the dollar machines are 5.00 minimium.

I went monday with my buddy and lost over a hundred, he lost over 200.00, but, I only go once a year.

Certainly takes a lot of the fun out of it when you're aware of how it works.

Once in a blue moon. I'm mostly at Dover Downs and Harrington (Midway Slots).
I did do the install of Bally Hot Shots at Delaware Park in late June. That was the last time I was there.
I live in the southern part of the state.

Speaking of casino cups, I just finished a King Camel token cup. I'm not sure if I like the design as of yet. I made one just to see what it would like finished. I'm problably going to add more graphics, that wrap all the way around. The pics are a little blurry.

It took me about 6 hours of drawing and designing. I also got my supplies in for the toppers. I will have them listed soon. My wife thinks I'm nuts, for putting in the time to even draw these. I actually enjoy drawing them, and putting as much detail as possible into them. You could almost call it therapy for me.

You guys are right, there is a fine line, less is more. Once I get 4 more themes done I will put the cups on Pachitalk auction and Ebay. The toppers I'm making will be affordable compared to the real toppers from casinos.

Those are absolutely incredible! Anyone that has a King Camel Pachislo will most certainly have to have these. Makes one want to go out and get an King Camel just to get the casino cups from you. Great work devospeed

I can't wait to see other Pachislo cups you do for the different Pachislos!!!

I played there once last year and that bingo deal really ruined it for me. I don't get why that has to be there, probably some goofy law, but for me it took all the fun out of it. Probably would not go there again.
    and a few others.
