it's a pretty nice old machine... i think i have one just like it in my attic... i got it back in 1980 i think... as far as the seller just keep an eye on him to make sure he follows thru... if you don't get the tracking # by friday.. i would e-mail him asking for the tracking #...(just so you know he mailed it).. when i sell on ebay i send the tracking # as soon as i box the item up for shipping for that person... also most people who sell on ebay regularly will leave you feedback as soon as you make payment... most sellers know you will be happy with the service....

Update: I recieved the wrong package from UPS, the seller claims UPS mixed up the boxes.
He offered me a refund, plus the machine for free if he can get it back.
I thanked him and said I would be happy if I could just get the machine for our original deal.
What a mess. He sounds nice but this seems a bit shadey.
I wonder if this is a ploy to back out of the sale?
The package I recieved contained junk. This is getting to be quite strange set of circumstances.

Mike... does the package you got have the UPS store's address or phone?

If so, I'd give them a call to see if THEY know about this mixup.
Of course, ask for the manager or a supervisor.

If that info isn't on the label, ask the seller for it.

That should tell you if the seller is serious, or if he just sent you junk on purpose.
This whole thing sounds VERY strange.

Although I've seen UPS stores screw things up BIG time.

I had same idea my wife said one store she went to was very sloppy, the counter dude would barely get of his cell long enought to take the order. and put the package in back without putting a tag on it.
This whole transaction has been lame from the begining, actually it started great, but quickly went downhill.

Thats a good deal on a nice vintage machine.........almost too nice for a parts or experimental rig. Hopefully the seller is on the up and up and it works out for you.
As far as feedback goes on eBay.......honesty is the best way. If a seller burns you on a transaction give them a negative to let other buyers know what kind of seller they are. It will hurt 'em in the long run.
Retalitory negatives are all to common from vindictive sellers so I understand your reluctance to leave a negative. I give them the benefit of the doubt but will leave a negative when appropriate.
Alot of sellers wait until the buyer has left a feedback to leave theirs but as a buyer your payment shows you held up your end of the bargain.

    Update:
Good news! I called Prince (go ahead and have fun with this) at the UPS store and he admitted they messed up the shipment, I agreed to send the incorrect package back to them and they would try to track down my pachinko.
I got a call back and they found my game and the people are going to return it! I will actually see the $7.50 pachi!

LOL since its only a $7.50 machine I think the only thing that might happen is me sweating over it.
I have intentions on playfield restore experiments.
I bought the last one for parts but had to fix it up.
I could be a Pachi rescue freak

I have 5 windows to place/trim at a clients and a (wife project) clothes closet storage wall to build first. might be a few weeks before it gets worked on. Oh And I need another tripple stand or a few single stands to make or find as I have 1 more machine on the way, and I have 1 on the stereo.

    wow 1,100 posts already.

THis is good news indeed! I am glad to see that he is keeping busy and not just sitting back on his purple bean bag doing nothing.

    Update:
    !!!!!!!!It arrived last night!!!!!!!
it was well protected but was in a crazy homemade box. the glass had a small chunk busted out in a corner , but I did not expect any glass. It was the most filthy thing I have ever bought. I had to kill a spider living in it. some guards are missing or broken in the back the top hopper was very loose and would not feed balls to lower hopper. the upper hopper lever was wired up. some of the wire inter-connections were not connected properly either.
It was sold cheap as is as a parts of fixer upper.
15 minutes tops + 6 screws and I have it working like a champ, a dirty filthy champ. I will need to re-wash the balls I used to test it.
It has a stained cell but has cool center target, it will be the perfect one to experiment on, Since Eddie's comment it will not be a restore! I will go more bling on this, first order of buisiness is through cleaning of resident insects and their mess out, then new acrylic panels, then re-power the beast with a transformer and 12v bulbs/leds. oops too much already. keep tuned I will post before pictures, watch the transformation here on pachitalk!

I plan on it! I need to get some before pictures I already have started working on it I had a hard time just looking it over and testing it last night. I had towels and 409 handy. first it needs a vacuuming. I will post a photo with the cobwebs and critters still in it, a good before picture. then at various steps I will post updates, after it is cleaned , stripped then moded.
keep tuned I will post before pictures, watch the transformation here on pachitalk!
