Awesome idea. I use 1500 balls in my cabinet and when I need to open the door, i have to dump the machine....that actually takes a while. I think I might modify my hopper the same way after I finish all the other projects I am working on...2 Mame cocktail tables for my friends and three antique mills slot I am restoring, and CLEANING the WORKROOM! I think George Carlin was right, I got too much Stuff! :fisheye:

Actually Jedi, I took a good look at your cabinet design as I was making this ball stop design. I wasn't sure how you went about opening your cabinet, (I assumed you plugged the top and pulled the entire hopper out.) But I wanted the ball stop to be a compliment to your cabinet as well the others and I thought you could implement it to yours with little or no modification at all. I'm glad you like it and if you have any questions as you're making it, feel free to ask.

The hardest part of making the stop is using a router to make the track. It's a tight space to make the cut straight without room for a router guide. Besides that, the rest isn't very hard to do and you're free to make some mistakes. (Like cutting a little deeper than needed for the straight bracket or making the overall length too long) None of these things will make it so you need to start from scratch and waste materials. Besides the time it takes for the glue to dry, it should only take a few hours to implement this stop. I think I did 4 in one day and finished them up the next morning (after the glue dried), but that also included paint.
