    Default Ball tray removal

I would like to remove the ball tray on my Palot so that I can have access to the 2 lower mounting screws on the speaker. I want to add a volume control but the speaker wires that I can get too are far to short. Trying to install a pot would be like micro surgery but if I can remove the speaker I can add wire extensions and all would be very easy. Since the machine is like a Pachinko would anyone know how hard or easy it would be to remove? Looks like a lot would have to come off to get that tray out just to remove the lower 2 screws!

Eddie, Just above the left reel is a red 9 pin connector. My volume control, (installed by Mr Pachinko, Arby) is spliced into the top wire of that red connector. I couldn't seem to get a clear enough pic but you should have no problem finding this.

What's a paylot? I tried finding this on google, but all I can find is information on toll parking lots.

Last night I had a chance to work on the Palot and now thanks to your info I have a volume control installed without wracking my brains or without sweat took all of 15mins!!!!

Once again, at least for me,Pachitalk helped solve a problem. I hope I can help out members as much as they have helped me.

    Thank you fhagar

Any chance you could post a picture of your machine? Palot is a new one for me, and I'm always cruising for new toys.

Click on Museum at the top of the page. If you haven't signed up, do so using your same name and password you use on this forum. Under pachinko search for palot.

Speaking from experience with my CRF Kagtu Legend R, I would classify this type of machine as a Skillstop Slot machine as it's primary function is indeed to be a Pachislo game. The payout function is adjustable just like a Slot, as are the reels and the basic game play. An enhancement over typical slot play is that the audio, video and light show are all on par with a Pachinko which is generally more sophisticated than that of a slot.

The fact that it was intentially designed to fit into a Pachinko Parlor, dimensionally and to utilize balls instead of tokens, doesn't alter this fact. Perhaps confusing the matter is that the frame, basic structure and almost the entire set of rear components are all Pachinko, simply so that balls can be utilized.

In the end, it is still a fusion of Slot and Pachinko where the attributes of the resultant product is indeed greater than the sum of it's parts. Sankyo has also enhanced this fusion by giving special care and attention towards furthering the Kagtu theme in this very sophisticated product. Every aspect of this game exudes vision and high quality.

It's a shame that neither of the two other Palot machines announced seem to have furthered the legacy that Sankyo has built with this unique and very special machine. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong in my initial assessment of these successors.

It's listed in the Pachislo section of Sankyo's website:

    http://www.sankyo-fever.co.jp/pachislot/index.html

    And it's CRP (for Palot)

I wish the older Victory cased version came in white, would make the Triology look all the sweeter! If I ever get my hands on an extra case, who knows!

That is interesting that Sankyo classifies it in their pachislo section.

Yup, I should have mentioned that. Some Japanese info sites classify it under the Pachislo heading as well. Oops on the typo, brain working faster than fingers.

    I shall not forget;
CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRP, CRF ... ah well, time to go and play anyways ...
