Default Popeye - Stopped Taking Coins ?

    Hello,

I have been away for a while, enjoying myself mainly

I have gone to use my Popeye machine today, I think I last played it about 2 weeks again, but I noticed that the graphocs at the bottom of the screen were missing, the ones showing how many tokens you hav put in etc...

I turned it off, opened it up and reseated all the connectors I could find. Still the same, then I noticed the E1 error code in the display at the top, I hit the reset and it went away.

Not the graphics are back, but there are no lighs on behind the buttons on the front, and the coins just fall back through to the tray at the bottom, I have tried everything I know, anyone else got any ideas? The machine hasn't moved and it has been unpluggd from the wall since the last time I played.

    Cheers

    Cris.

did you do a full reset with the key same as setting the odds ? it should bring back everything . these machines don't have a battery back up because they aren't usually turned off for any real length of time in a parlor (turned off = no profit) so they rely on a charged capacitor to store the settings for the machine once discharged it looses its settings and you get the error and the only way to recover is a full reset .

    Magic!

I did the reset again and it all works, I think I must have turned the machine off before turning the key back (or something) last time.

    Thanks for the quick reply

    Cheers

    Cris.
