    Default Playfield Lighting Question

I've been meaning to ask this for a while. I've noticed on my modern pachinkos (and vintage one) that the playfields on the cells are rather poorly lit (excluding all the surrounding lights and pocket lighting).

Is it that Pachinko is always played in a well lit parlour so that the playfield is brightly illuminated? I've noticed in some pictures of Pachislo parlours that they can be dimly lit? Is Pachinko ever played in a dimly lit setting?

I think they call that house advantage.

I have added a couple LED's to the top half of my play field. This was done more to accentuate the look to it. It does make it a little more fun to play when it is dimly lit.

Many of the parlors I've seen are quite well lit...but Rupan can give you a better idea...

The manufacturers save by not building in the lighting and an entire after market is born. Would you bring the Japanese economy to it's knees by suggesting the manufacturers install the lighting to start with?

you could install a light at the top, like the ones used for paintings.

    or wear a miner's hat

I play my pachinkos with my lights on.

Maybe some pachinkos arent comfortable being played with the lights on.. they may be sensitive about their cells or something..

Well, I'm slow as usual, but finally realized that parlors need to be well lit so you don't trip over the trays of spheres all over the ground! So general playfield lighting would be redundant.
