about 40 years ago in Chicago a liquior store had a small fire, there must have been 50 firemen there and they kept going in and out of the building.

more came after the fire was over and still went in.
I'm sure the owner lose more in theft than fire damage!!!!

I should add that 40 years ago in Chicago that the whole city government was corrupt and ruled by Mayor Richard Daly.

all the mayor's friends got the best jobs and bids on projects.

the police took bribes to get out of driving tickets. I got stopped once and the officer said whats it worth to not get a ticket. all I had was $10.00 and he took it.

They had a big shakeup in the 70's and cleaned things up.

He wasn't fired becasue of the soda. It's clear to me that the soda was more than anything an 'out' for the department who was fed up with this guy's past issues. It's hilarious that the offense was so minor but if the guy was of any value, he would have gotten off with a stern warning.

He sounds like a putz to me!
