These are pretty slick looking. I asked the seller if they are 10 of the same thing or 10 different items. If he/she replies they are different items, I'm going to buy them.

    Thanks BB

Having just looked at the item on Ebay it looks like they replied that they are all different

Okay all you ebay shipping guru's. I have a question.

Now I don't ever sell on ebay and I rarely buy from it but I bought this stupid ornaments. So two of them came broken. Now I paid the insurance and I emailed the guy telling him what happened.

He sends back to me to take the label to the post office and file a claim. Now is it not the sellers responsibility to file the insurance claim since he took out the insurance?

he should have the insurance reciept, but you have the broken item. the post office must determine the cause of damage. you would have to go there and let them inspect the packaging.

If I was the seller I would just replace them or offer a partial refund to settle this. dealing with the post office requires a lot of paperwork and a few months for settlement.

    its a lose lose situition

the post office doesn't make it easy to file a claim, I had some coins stolen in the mail the seller didn't want to bother with it, he sent me the insurance reciept and it took me 6 months and many trips to the P.O. to get my insurance money.

There was nothing wrong with the packaging that I could see, two boxes inside of another box and each ornament was bubble wrapped. He may have stuffed them in there kind of tight and broke them himself. It's the only way I could see it happening.

It was only $25 for two sets including the shipping and insurance. Just amazes me the guy is expecting me to take time out of my day to deal with his screw up for the 10% of the product that was broken. Taking out the shipping and insurance, that would be $1.60 total.

Yeah, I'm going to screw with the post office for that kind of money. Sure I am. No, he can either send me two pieces to replace the broken ones or take his negative like a man.

When I ordered the Betty Stools, I did not recieve them for a long time. When I inquired, the man said they are drop shipped and he did not know about the delay. Anyway, to make a long story short...he sent me a really neat Betty Boop Neon Clock to make nice with me. Two weeks later I got the stools and the clock!!!

He won't take the neg fback like a man, he will probably leave you retalitory neg fback, due to the fact he his holding your fback hostage. A true stand up seller would of left you your pos feedback already, because you have done everything the seller has asked of you as far as paying him on time.

If it indeed had USPS Postal insurance on the package, then you would of had to sign for the delivery, regardless if it was 1st class or priority.

The seller should be responsible for handling the insurance claim. That's what you paid the insurance for, to protect yourself. If I were the seller of these items you would of received two replacement items or a refund by now. The seller should be the one to wait for the claim refund money, not the customer. Shame on him for treating you like this.

On a side note, I have found in the past that it is very difficult to collect property value money from the USPS. It is a long and time consuming process.

To be perfectly honest. I'm sick of eBay. It simply isn't worth the trouble you have to go through sometimes. I may pay more locally, but at least I know what I'm getting.
