Default Problem with Gamera Screen...please help

    Hi Everyone,

I have a Gamera High vision. When I first got it, I noticed that there are red lines on the right 2 inches of the screen that appear after about 20 minutes and later covers the rest of the screen. The seller has helped me tremendously trying to fix it. I got a new screen today and switched them out. The screen looked great for about five minutes, then a little more than half the screen went black. I am not sure what to check now. I love this machine.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I would love to solve it.

One of my thoughts is the transformer might be on the low level of providing enouph power. Could all that have a Gamera Machine please reply to this with the type and Amps of their tranformer?

    The Transformer I have is: KSL-6143 120Vac 9000mA

9 amp should be more then enough. My thoughts are that the replacement screen is defective also. The first screen had red lines this one is partly blacked out. If it was something else the replacement screen should of had the same problem as the first one. Whos the vendor?

I purchased the Machine From AAAPachislo. Braden has been extremely helpful in trying to solve the issue. The machine comes with a warrenty, so I am sure the problem will be solved one way or another.

This is sounding similar to what I thought might be ChrisDice's problem with his Eleco machine. Looking at the pics you posted and it looks exactly like problems I've seen with laptop LCDs....at least the column of reddish lines does. I agree with Chris....I think you are seeing two screens with two different problems. The first one might be fixable. No clue on the other one.

    The other thread is here:
    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13246

But that column of red interference is a sign of a loose/intermittent mechanical connection to the actual LCD. Not any connector you can get to easily....but on the LCD itself. I'd keep swapping out the LCD with AAAPachislo if you can. I'm sure you are, but always be very gentle with LCDs...especially as you are installing them. If you twist or bend them even slightly in the wrong area, they can exhibit these kinds of problems. Also make sure when you mount the LCD on the door you aren't torqueing or twisting it somehow.

This sounds more like a technical problem and at this point id send it back since its a warranty issue this isn't something i would consider a customer fix ........Box it up and send it back and get a replacement machine , ( He may even let you keep it as a parts machine rather than pay the return shipping )

I am going to wait until he gets a new one in stock and then do a switch. Braden has done a great job in trying to solve this. Hopefully He will get some soon.

Thank You for all your assistance and input.
