Gamera and the number 3,7,X

I have a Gamera High Grade. While playing, Gamera will fly into the sky and knock a crystal that, when it stops spinning, turns into a 3,7 or X. I thought 3 meant that in three pulls, I would go into Bonus. This doesn't seem to be true.

Does anyone know what the cycle means?

I'm not sure what the 3 means but 7 is what your after. 7 ='s bonus chance.

3's usually mean that you are headed for a regular bonus.
