For all those that have served and gave their life so we can have the freedoms we have, to all the families who lost loved ones who gave so much, to those are serving now and have served in the past, thank you. You have given so much so we can have the freedoms we have, words can never be enough to show how thankful we all are.

Today we remember those both living and dead who throughout our nation's history have been willing to risk their very being so that we may be secure in our way of life.

I shall never disrespect those who gave their life in the name of freedom and America's ideals. The fact that so many of our soldiers have been placed in harm's way by politicians on misguided missions is the issue which tests our resolve.

May we have the knowledge and courage to do what is right.
