Termnator: 1 of 3 speakers works

I've got an IGT Terminator Pachislo (a recent gift!) and apparently only the bottom of the three speakers is working. (it has a speaker in the payout area and two speakers up by the LCD.

I've tried the volume switch, and I've verified that the speakers are connected.

Is there another switch I'm missing? Seems strange that only one of the speakers is actually used, if the machine is working properly.

the two upper speakers might only be used for minor sound effects, thats how it is on my Firedrift

most of the sound does come out of the bottom speaker
i found i only needed a volume control on it, the top were just fine without one

If you unplug the bottom speaker, are you hearing anything at all?

this is the same chassis as my winning post. i had to install vol controls on all three speakers as it was loud even with the lower turned off. so you do have a problem.

Is this the old or new Terminator are these the plastic type speakers
with the small hole in the front if they are you have a broken wire
inside take a knife and cut around the back round plate where it is glued
on and pop it out and you will need to solder the wire back on watch
out when you pull it apart the wires are real short
