Lucky does the F1 have the hot shoe with it? It slides on to the winding knob so you can mount the flash to it. Or does it have the flash mount some ware else? It looks newer then mine.

I was thinking of selling mine. I use the digital now. But the digital are slow and you miss a lot of good shots. The F1 is an excel ant camera, but if you loose the hot shoe you are pretty much up the creek!

That does look like a nice set. I personally use a Nikon F3, but you can't go wrong with a cannon. I agree with lazarus, digital camera's just don't cut it. I have a couple digitals but they can't take the pics my Nikon does.

That is a sweet setup. I have a Pentax Super Program, now that camera will do everything anyone could want.

I like my digital, it's very handy. But I agree, the delay really messes you up when you want action pictures.

I'm an old 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 and 35mm man. I still have a couple of Contax RTS systems, but long ago sold a complete Hasselblad system, several EL's and C's. Every lens except the 800mm.

Damn fool. Worth a fortune today.

It was intended that my digital was to be a snapshot camera only, but I can't remember the last time that I dusted off my Nikon F1 or Crown Graphic.

The digitals are very versatile but can't provide the smoothness of film.

I've stopped dreaming about a film darkroom as the computer is so much more powerful and quicker.

The cannon F1 has only one drawback. That is if you consider it a drawback. You have to actually know how to set your focus and fstops. It is a manual camera, not the new fangled autos. I have taken wedding pictures for my family and once shadowed the photographer on a friends wedding. The photographer lost two whole rolls of film from the wedding. I took almost the same shots he did so they were able to have a complete set of photos of there wedding.

Try the new cannon eos SLR range of digitals they run up around £750 here but they fast enough not to miss anything and will even fire up to 12 shots in a row i was realy inpressed when i went to look and ended up buying that day they have even gone as far as putting a weaight on a solanoid inside the camera body so you get the feel of a shutter fireing and they will take any SLR lense and have a proper TTL focus as well as the screen on the back like i said i was realy inpressed
My rice krispies told me to do it
