Metal Slug Lights

Anyone with a Metal Slug might be able to answer this question. To the left of the reels are 6 lights. I have only seen three of these light come on to light up the Bang!'s. Do the other 3 lights ever come on to light up the people and the monkey? I hope I'm explaining this right.

I'm sure they do since they're six lights in that array but I can say that I only remember the bang lights coming on.
