    Default Big problems on Pachislo

Seems all the guides I read. Don't have anything close to the way my machine is setup. I turn it on. the EE error shows up. The wait light turns on. and the reels hummm, like they are trying to move, but can't. All the reels are free moving like they should be (i think). They have a little resistance from the belt, but I think that is normal. I took the reels out. Inspected the connectors. All seems well. Took off the board thats on the side wall as well. Found some cold solder joints there. But didn't solve the problem. Also noticed. there is NOTHING connected to the reset key. There isn't any wires at all connected there. Is that a problem? My powersupply is different than anything i've seen before too. My reset key, toggle switch and red button are up by the side board. Not on the power supply. There is only two switches...a black and a red on the powersupply. And a toggle switch that empties the tokens out. I can't find any fuses anywhere, except a small 1A on on the side board (reel controller board?). the fuse checks out fine. So now i'm at a loss. Does anyone know the manufacturer for a Mr.Magic? Knowing the style of machine might help me on my quest for fixing this.

you may have a button stuck try cleaning them with a paper towel with windex on it . push in the button and wipe the sides that the button comes in contact with . also you should have a reset button and a key or reset switch to clear the error I'm not sure what an E E is but it may be a hopper jam in which case you need to unplug the hopper and manually turn the wheel and eject a token if possible . if it is possible then your sensor may be un able to see light and needs cleaning . the other possibilities are the coin mech needs cleaning and is registering a jam its hard to tell when they dont stick to the error codes most use . you'll find very little in the way of schematics around on these machines the Japanese are very tight lipped about the insides of these machines so most of what we know is trial and error and reverse engineering ...

I have seen an error like that before on a metal slug. The first time I powered it up. After a full reset and changing the odds it was fine.

Yes the Metal Slug is notorious for this on power up. Drives me crazy sometimes as I've had to reset it numerous times before it would get a clue.

There should be a key or a switch that will, when activated, put a number from 1 to 6 on the face of the machine and that's all that will light up. From there it's a simple reset should fix this. If you have no wires connected to your key, that could be a problem unless they moved the reset and put a switch in it's place.

If you could take some pictures of the insides, it would help us help you.

Doesn't "The Shadow" own a Mr. Magic? I am sure he will be here to lend a hand and give some insight.

Also have you read through the first section on the main page at the top titled "So You're New To Pachis" It goes over alot of the basics, and will answer alot of questions if you are new to the hobby.

I hate it when someone posts the same problem on seperate threads!
It all gets confused and mixed up that way.

well the other thread was for me to try and find out what make and model I had. After the advice I got over there. then I actually tried to do some major troubleshooting, which came up empty. I'll take some pics. The Reset key isn't connected to anything. So it is useless. I Don't know what that toggle switch does next to it. I'm wondering if it is a board issue. Which I hope not. :/

On the power supply bottom left next to the molux connector, is that a key or a toggle switch? Which ever this should be your reset with the rocker switch on the power supply as the power.

That is a toggle switch. when it is flicked on. It empties out the tokens out of the bay.

Okay. You have taken the case that holding that key apart and there is no wiring connected to the switch?

idealy you need to trace the wiring to the key switch wiring down and reconct it as that as tulsa says is your reset key and after looking at a few other threads a full reset may cure your peoblems or a reset and odds change

just out of wonderance was the machin purchased from a garage sale ect or a pachislo machine vendor as the vendor could do with a kick after suplying a machine with the reset key disconcted not looking for names just see if you can get a few tokens or somthing out of the vendor

not a vendor. Private party. And I tried looking for wires that were disconnected. Nothing around. And no open plugs anywhere. I have no idea where the Reset key wires should lead too.

Can you move to the shout box? This might be easier if we had faster communication than we can have in a post. The shout box is on the main page at the bottom.

the toggle and push button appear to be add ons (look like garden variety radio shack stock ) they may be your reset switch . question has this machine ever worked while you've owned it ????? the coil on the coin mech couldn't have worked with only one pin connected but if you jam it closed it would would work .
looks like the coin mech may have been from another machine .
