Default How Do you tell what make/style machine you have?

I'm new to the group. I'm mainly a pinball collector/restorer, and picked up my first pachislo machine. It's a Mr.Magic. I'm getting a EE error on the credit screen and the middle reel starts spinning and won't stop as soon as you power on the machine. I saw there are premium, deluxe and so on type machines. can't find what style mine is. Seems the power supply and reset switch is setup differently than the ones I see on peoples sites. I will be getting more of these machines, so I figure I should start getting to know people

    thanks,
    neo

Unplug the machine and check and reseat all your wire connections, that's usually the problem.

Did that. Unplugged all of the ribbon cables. Unless there is some in back of the reels that I didn't get too. LIke I said, this is my first machine, and don't really know the in's and outs of it yet. Not a lot of schematics, or how to videos/websites on these. Makes things difficult. doesn't help that all labels are in japenese

Hi welcome to the bord it is a welth of information sometimes you gotta hang on a few days for the right person to drop in and read about your problem but you can almost gaurentee that someone can help but in the meantime post a couple of pics of your machine one of the front of the machine as sometimes a vendor calls it one name and we know it as its true translated name also a pick of the machine with the door open so we can see an over view of its guts that way alot of us reognise the workings from another machine as they are usualy in familys of two or three machines using the same workings
hope we het your problem solved soon for you
My rice krispies told me to do it

This is a designation used by the vendors to decide how much they are going to charge you for your machine. It has no bearing on anything else.
