    Default Inserting coins

After 5 months of owning a pachi, I suddenly realised tonight that you don't have to get RSI by putting them in one by one, you can bunch 'em together and push 'em in ten at a time. How stupid do I feel??!!? Why have I never read anything about this - it must be so obvious that no-one ever bothers mentioning it!
How many extra games could I have played in that 5 months! :duh:

Mike, actually I have seen this mentioned here - on several occasions. But you're right - it is so obvious that it truly shouldn't require mentioning.

Perhaps you can take some comfort by considering the genius of Albert Einstein - a man so focused on higher level thinking that he did not have the ability to consider the obvious daily tasks of life. One of my college professors had him as a professor and she said he once came to class in his pajamas.

I'm glad you have finally "stopped to smell the roses".

I think we've even gone as far as to rate the best machines to speed load.

yeah it took me a few minutes to figure it out when I got my machine, what I want to do is just be able to open the machine and where the coin slot is just move the mechanism by hand to increase credits, but my jsr does not want to work with me and I'm afraid to break it.....

Just get one of those auto-credit boards for it. Push two buttons for two seconds and you almost instantly have 50 credits. It still pays out tokens but you don't have to load them.

The beast Sapp is a great machine to speed load, around 20+ tokens at a time.

Doesn't that take away part of the fun?

My 18 month old daughter loves putting the tokens in, I don't think she would be very happy just pressing a couple of buttons instead.

I have no kids and I've loaded to gazillion tokens and to be honest, that part is not that much fun.

Good post, John. I guarantee you that many out there in pachiland aren't aware you can hold 10 or 15 tokens in your hand, push them into the coin holder and shake 'em a bit and in they go! (I had my first machines for a few weeks before my daughter showed me this feature.)

I thought I'd just save anyone else as dum as me from spending months not using that feature. I can't believe I didn't read any of the posts either. Still, it's opened up a whole new world now!

You know, I think I may have read it but it didn't sink in. Eventually my subconcious managed to get heard: "SPEED LOAD YOU DUM ASS!!!" Duh! Oh, I wonder what will happen if I try this? Cue lightbulb moment.

Speed loading, the only way to go. Even I do it with the hooks, just not as many, maybe 15 at the most.

15 is pretty good. Only the slots with the largest token chutes can take more than that.

15 is the most I ever did. Usually it's just however many the hook picks up. Could be a few to too many. That doesn't count the ones I squirt out onto the floor.

Mike don't feel that way... heck I did it myself and wondered why there was such a space there in front of the coin slot. After I saw my 8 year old son l speed load it.. I thought I was souch a dough head. I reapir these things and sheesh I never even thought about it.. so just to let you know I have to be king of the dunces to not realize it after that long LOL!! It's all in fun Mike and if you have ANY questions we would be more then happy to answer them.. NO QUESTIONS are dumb ones. I like to answer all questions. People who ask questions are smarter then the ones who wonder (or stubborn in my case) LOL! Its all in good fun and I am sure you are enjoying the machine even more then you did before!
