Default Help me understand what makes this vintage worth $250

I'm sure someone reading this board will tell me why this...
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-Deluxe-Jap...QQcmdZViewItem
not only gets $250, but is going to be shipped to Sweden!

I haven't seen one quite like this, but I can't tell from the fuzzy photo what is especially cool about it (but I'm sure there's something!)...so if someone has seen one, I'd love to be enlightened!

Are those little sheep on this game? Hmmmm...

Well, it's from the '70s not the '50s as he stated. And, at most, I give it fair condition. Plus, we don't even know if it works.

Looks to me like the buyer just over-paid or the buyer liked this particular machine for some reason.

might be something with Sweden and Swedes. I sold a "vintage" christian dior cardigan (from the 80's, great condition, goodwill is great for flippin' that stuff) on eBay a couple months ago and someone from sweden bought it. Must be some vintage/retro rage going on even more then here....

OK, haven't seen one exactly like this, and I certainly haven't gotten any smarter, so there MUST be a reason for the $300+

    Ideas?

I would have to go with the words "in original box" in the ad, most likely he is referring to the wooden frame, but I bet someone is expecting a printed cardboard box.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

Ahhhhh, didn't notice the magic words "original box"...I think someone's trying to relive their Christmas '77 experience (not that there's anything wrong with that!)...

While I don't know what they mean here, but I have seen a few still with their Pachinko Palace boxes.

Those didn't go for any kind of high price.

What often seems to make prices go high is when it says something like "in working condition" as most vintage auctions just list "I don't know how it works so I can't test it, it comes with some metal balls".

But if I'm telling the truth here, I really think people are paying big bucks for them awesome water stains!
