Metal Slug- Reset?

Hi Everyone...it's been a while since I've posted. I guess I ran out of phyical space for my machines...so I've had to cool my Pachislo passion for a bit (although I am still in the market for a Sonic or other video game character Pachinko!).

Anyway, I have noticed that my Metal Slug completely resets after it's been off for a few days. When I turn it back on I get the error message and that very very very annoying "alarm" sound.

Do any of you know how often I have to turn it on to avoid the reset? I was thinking of putting it on a timer to turn it on/off a few times a week.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

It really depends on the machine. Some machines have capacitors which hold a charge longer than others. For example, my machines go from one that needs to be turned on about every 4 days while there is another that can go several weeks without losing its memory.

A timer is a good idea, if you can find one that turns on every couple of days.

I found a good looking timer that should work and is programable to specify certain days/times of the week for $19.95 at Home Depot-- in case anyone else needs one--

on mine you just open her up and and where the green lcd display on the back of the door (to display difficulty 1-6) is, just press the little round button next to it.
that should reset the machine and allow play.
