Don't be a heathen! It's "hallowed", not "hollowed".. and, of course, it is a religious/literary allusion:
    The Pachinko Prayer
(also known as the Our Sphericals or the Pachinoster)

Our Sphericals, which art in the hopper,
    Hallowed be thy name.
    The containers come,
    Thy game be known,
In the West as it is in Japan.
Give us this day our daily fever!
And forgive us our auction sniping
As we forgive those who snipe against us.
    And lead us not to token temptations;
    But deliver us from pachislo.
For thine is the chance button,
The nail bending, and the shininess,
    For ever and ever.
    Amen.
Of course, members of the Reformed Church of the Pachi Reconciliation—founded in 1873 or thereabouts to bring together Pachinko and Pachislo adherents—have made a decent argument that "token temptations" and "deliver us from pachislo" are unfortunate mistranslations from the original Greek, and that those phrases are better translated as "pagan temptations" and "deliver us from Million God".

I, personally, must take issue with their philological justifications for the new translation, but nonetheless welcome their spirit of unity, and so left the Orthodox Church of the One True Pachinko, and welcome our Pachislo brethren, benighted though they may be.

The fact that you find it funny but aren't quite sure if it should be means I probably did it just about right.

For this reconciliation to have taken place in 1873 would mean that the Pachi movement started a lot earlier than presently accepted. There must be a here-to-fore unknown "missing link" waiting to be discovered. It may be time to mount an expedition into the bowls of Compirate's and Arby's shrines.

The currently accepted wisdom and holy scrolls would indicate that the mighty Pachinko begat Pachislo during the age of enlightenment arround the early 80's.

Pay no attention to that factoid that I let slip out, which is normally only available to those who have been "fevered" and have met the requirements of the various FH levels (and those who have hacked the computers of such people!--Shhh!).

From the wikipedia article on Pachinkology:
Pachinkologists who are deemed to have achieved the State of Fever may continue onto what is termed the Upper or FH (Fever Hunter) Levels. These courses are available by Church invitation only and prospective candidates are vetted by the Church based on their contributions to the furtherance of Pachinkology and their behavior in accordance with Pachinkology principles. The contents of these advanced courses are held in strict confidence within the Church and individuals who have read these materials may neither discuss nor disclose what they contain without jeopardizing their standing in the Church. The highest level released to date, FH VIII, is only granted at sea, on the Pachinkology cruise ship Freeballs.
So, there's a lot most of us don't know, and will likely never know. They never tell the regular rank and file members any of the gory details.

However, speaking of gory details, it is generally accepted as common wisdom that one should stay out of Arby's bowels.

Does that mean that If I attempted to join this church I too will soon be driving a Corvette? With my luck I'd end up with a Chevette!
