Default My first vintage :) - me 2 me 2

So, im late to the party but I just jumped on the bandwagon. I got a NishijinC off ebay and it said unknown if it was working - but it had worked twice.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/160733435973

The knowledge I had about these things could be contained in a small thimble, but thanks to the google and youtube (including vintagepachinko.com vids), in a period of about 3 hours, I went from not knowing anything to having a pretty good idea of how these things work AND also, realizing that all it probably needs is a few more balls to keep the tracks full and sensors depressed. Originally it had no launcher action and I sorta figured the spring and bracket laying in the box had something to do with it. With just a little scratching of my head (and a screen shot to vintagepachinko with me having the spring running in the WRONG path), I got the launcher working.

Im off to the races now..

Welcome to the PachiTalk family!! Thanks for joining our forum and becoming a member.

You have a wonderful first machine there, and one that is not as common as well. I'm sure you have already read here that these machines do multiply quickly, so don't panic when you suddenly find yourself with 6 or 8 machines in a short period of time. We have all been down that same path, so you are among friends here. You will find lots of encouragement and support from our members.

Again, welcome to the site. Please visit us daily and post often.

    Welcome to Pachitalk
great looking machine.. there are allot of members still looking for there first "C" machine..

as a side note it looks as if you might be missing the track cover.. not a huge problem but from time to time balls might stack up and start falling out the back.. ya can make your own or ya might see if someone has one for sale... I have made lots of them for "B" machines but never had to do one for a "C" yet. if ya get in a big jam shoot me a pm im sure i could make one for ya..

Congrats on your first.. and as stated its will NOT be your last..

WELCOME TO PACHITALK!Nice loking Model C you have there. You are correct...it does need more balls to function properly. I am a fan of machines much older, but I do have 1 Model C, and a couple newer machines. I really like the Model C mechanics. For cleaning/restoring you can remove the entire back with 5 or 6 special snap connectors! This is really nice! I wish all machines were as easy to clean as a Model C ! Once again...to Pachitalk!

i think i see what you mean mopar about the track cover, it appears that the upper and lower on is missing compared to the pic on vintagepachinko.com.

But, the thing that i noticed when looking closer it appears the ballsensor for the inner payout track is cracked and has been taped ot something. Anybody know where i can get one of these? http://s626.photobucket.com/albums/t...1943076411.png

Well, this might take some explaining. But, lets clear up the shooter spring first - when I got the machine, the spring was just loose in the box. I took the pic and had sent that to the guy at vintagepachinko.com and he told me to route it behind the green lower plastic piece - so that has been addressed.

The FIRST pic was not a picture of MY machine but just one I had found (that had better resolution so I just circled it in red to make it clear) also on vintagepachinko. But that same part is just barely staying together at this point and Im not even sure that I can get a very good pic of it since its the one behind.
thanks for your help in posting the pics - I have some difficulty in getting the attachments added - About all I have accessible most the time are tablet browsers and they dont' seem to work too well with the attachment process on this board.

    well then..

the part in the circle is to let the machine know when it is low on balls.. if only one is broken then i would wire it up so it will not work.. having one working should be enought.. i have seen plenty of machines with this feature bypassed all together.. it will not cause you any problems untill you run the machine out of balls.. so long as the player understand that he/she sees a jackpot and get no payout they stop playing and refill the hopper.. so long as the hopper is filled then no worries..

if you have to have the parts then keep this thread going... Im sure someone has parted out a "C" machine at some point and time??? but IMHO its going to be a bit tough to find.. not many "C" machiens get parted

I see - ok. then I will just keep my eyes peeled. It seems to be functional. Im kind of hesitant to pull it off and try to repair the existing one any better. It would likely break when I put it back on I would think. I can live with it. thanks
