Default Just picked Monster mansion Takeya. Need help

So I just picked up a new Machine.im learning that a may need a dongle and possibly a card emulator.i can easily do the capacitor and resistor addition to the ts232 type port but...I'm really wonder what is correct. I email Daverob but do not k oe if that is still an option for purchasing his dongle. Everything seems to work great dropping balls by hand as the shooter knob is disabled. Please help ..need to know what to do to ge r this going and working corrsctly.dongle, card emulator,do parts myself on port??

Daverobs site has the instructions to make the basic dongle. As you say with a capacitor, resister and diode. You can make it for a couple of quid. Use that for testing. Then if you want buy the credit dongle later on.

The instructions from Daverob's site for the bypass dongle can be found here:

I never had to make a dongle, as I got one with my 1st modern...and my 2nd modern had the components "inserted". The capacitor, resistor, and diode were directly inserted into the port for the dongle, and siliconed in place. Congratulations on making one instead of buying a basic one! Now that you bave confirmed that it works...you will ENJOY a Daverob bypass dongle! You have probably read all about it at the link above...reading about it isn't really convincing to pay for a fancy dongle. But trying one, and enjoying the benefits it unlocks...you won't be sorry! I have one, and I need another. The machine functions like it was designed to in the parlor. You can "buy" credits, and when you run out of balls, redeem them for balls that pay out into the front tray. Mine does not have the card reader ( not sure if they can still be purchased without it) so I can't brag about it...but others seem to love it.
I think I've made my point. You won't be sorry.
