    Question Thunderbirds possable buy!!

    Hi guys

I'm looking at maybe buying a Thunderbirds machine its a bit battered around the edges but all seems to work ok this will only be my second pachinko and my first modern style one.

I brought my last one as a non working resto project that turned out to be dirty and fully working but I got it for super cheap and so don't really know what sort of price to offer the guy with the thunderbirds machine? any advice would be great I don't want to rip the guy or myself off.

also any thoughts on the game is it fun/ easy to play? or even worth buying as a first modern?

    Cheers guys

    J.

Hello J, Would you have any pictures available (front/back)? Is battered scuffs and scrapes or damaged areas? I believe there were a couple versions of the Thunderbirds machine. I have the 2009 model which I had Frank at Akimono, now Clover Collectibles, bring one into the US for me last fall. I paid a good amount for it at $450usd and figured around a third of that was shipping on his part. I would have paid 200-300 to a local seller for the same in good condition.

If you enjoy the television show of the same name then I think you will enjoy this machine. I sure do! The music and lighting is fairly constant but not overwhelming in my opinion. Game play is easy enough but also has some challenges. You can always bend some nails to make it harder or easier to hit the pockets. This is a picture of mine.

That looks very nice its different to the one I've been looking at I don't have a picture unfortunately but its the same as this one I found on the internet

    thunderbirds.jpg

which is not as nice looking as yours!!!

the plastics are faded a bit and the frame has dings in it but now I look at this picture I think the frame has been added also their is a crack in the front glass but isn't in the field of view it has the key with it and seems to play ok the back looks cleanish (well at least cleaner than my vintage was when I got it) and everything seems to be their.

That model is I think referred to as Thunderbirds 2

in the Fuji Gear Shock frame and released around Nov 2003

(think Peteybobs is a more modern later version in the Fuji Ovalone frame)
