Evangelion Test-Type 01 Questions?

I recently picked up an Evangelion machine on craigslist. Got it home in one piece and everything worked well. However, day two and the feeder tray will not hold balls anymore. When I pour them in, it sits for a few seconds and the drains them to the play tray. In addition, the lights around the frame of the machine are not lighting...they did the other day. I think they light when balls are won from the feeder tray?? Anyone have experience with these machines...I'd like to ask a few questions.

Also, I'm looking for a manual (English) that could help with basics of configuration, etc. Lots of connectors, menus, buttons and I'm not sure what they do. Are manuals available online? A search found nothing.

if the balls are draining from the back to the front i would guess its catching up on owed payouts.. keep feeding the back hopper and let it pay out.. my guess is it needs to catch up..

Can you post some pictures of the front and back. This could help plus we like pictures

There is a "7" on the single digit LED display on the back, but I have no idea what that means. I'll get a few pictures tonight.

In my experience code #7 is the system saying that your payout tray is out of balls. The system can remember that it was out of balls and needing more to finish the winning balls payout. You may need to refill the tray several times before the payout is completed and the "7" will change to a dash "-", normal state of operation.

Also if your front tray(s) are full then the payout system may shut down until some of those balls are cleared out.

Many thanks, this was the problem. I think I hit a few jackpots the past few days because I needed to fill the payout tray about a dozen times! It finally caught up and changed from '7' to '-'. I was dumping balls in the payout tray the past few days, but they just kept draining out so I thought something was wrong. I have a vintage 1970s machine, but this thing is completely different. It seems to be operating normally again.
