I'm new to pachinko-owning (as of today!) and just picked up this exact same machine (Flying Carpet). After fever ends, it sounds like a car alarm is going off, is this the "obnoxious noise" you were mentioning? And by hard reset, do I have to unplug and plug the machine back in?
What does the car alarm sound mean?

Turn on and off to reset. I think this was to alert the parlour attendant that someone hit a fever.

Might be because its a hanemono.
These have alarms built in if you try to fiddle the wings and V pocket.
Also alarms go off if you fail to get a ball into the centre feature during the jackpot/fever as it assumes there is a fault with the machine as it doesn't detect balls going into the said pockets

^This, all the older hanemono go into crazy loud beeping error mode if you fail to get at least 1 ball per round of the fever in the center feature.
