Default Inherited Pachinko machine - needs restoration

    All,

I inherited my father's old pachinko machine. I used to love playing with it when I was little.

It needs some restoration and I'm not very handy. I'd much rather have someone do the work that knows what they're doing.

Any suggestions? I live in Parkland, FL - about 15 miles NW of Fort Lauderdale. If I did this right, there should be an image of the machine attached.

    Thanks

    Rik

Hello Rik and welcome to the Group!

That's a good looking machine, do you have many balls with it to see if it functions alright? Post a picture of the back as well if you feel something is not working.

What kind of restoration might you have in mind? There is anything from a good cleaning to a complete re-do. I have only done some general cleaning and from what others have shared here, most things seem not to hard to be done. Feel free to ask anything and others will be along to offer help if you like.

there are a few of us hear that do work.. im about as far away as it get so shipping to me would not be in your best interest.. (of course i would love the opportunity to get it detailed and looking its best..

looking forward to seeing some pics of the back.. the front looks great other then the somewhat common water stains..

There were plenty of balls - but there seems to be some mechanical issues. I played with this when I was 6 years old and I remember that there was a dry cell battery in the back to power the electronics. I can't even figure out where a battery would go. My father died 19 years ago and this has been sitting in my older brother's basement ever since. He just shipped it to me and I got nostalgic. I'd love to get it working for my game room and let my kids play with it
