    Default Nishijin Super Deluxe-Wiring Help!

My sons and I were in the process of trying to figure out why our lights were working only intermittently on our Nishijin and as I pulled the power hookup for the lights off the back, I pulled too hard, causing a lot of detached wires in the process. Now I'm pretty lost about how to get the wires back together, because I don't know where they went in the first place. I see you have some diagrams on your page, but I don't know that any of those speak directly to our machine. If you have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate your help. Below, I've included some photos to give you a sense of the situation. As noted, the machine lights were working intermittently prior to this debacle. Especially helpful would be an image of the back of a correctly connected power hook up. But that's just one thing I need. Any help would be great.

Hello ezreub and welcome to the group!

I'm not much into the vintage machines but others will be along later.
I hope it all gets sorted out for you

Hello and welcome. Simple 2 light machine. Remove the connection block and look at the contacts. Connect the positive of your power source to the fuse connection. From the fuse, power (+) goes through each of the 2 switches and back to one of the 2 bulb socket connections. Use the center connections for ease. Each switch controls the power to 1 bulb.
Then connect negative of power source through terminal that leads to the side connections on the bulb sockets.

This can be reversed as well with the + directly to the bulbs and - through the switches.

Hope this helps a bit. Don't have that same configuration handy for a pic.

Here is a pic of one that should help a bit, don't go by wire color as I had to add the switches to this one so there's more orange wires.20161113_144633.jpg

    first off

    Welcome to Pachitalk

use a 9 volt battery and trial and error.. its all low voltage so no real worry the worse you can do is burn up a bulb...

vintage lights are really easy think of it as a loop.. battery to the switch to the bulb and back to the battery.. so circutes have a bock in the middle to make things easy for a second light but either way its a loop
