    Default Biohazard 5

Just started this hobby and my first purchase was for biohazard 5. Unfortunately I can't find any game play videos of it anywhere. How has players enjoyed it? Also is all pachislo machines the same with converting to quarters? Want to use this machine as a piggybank, to save for future purchases. Thanks and love the site!

    hello and welcome to PachiTalk

I'm sorry we do not recommend or discuss the converting of pachislos to accept currency, as this may make them illegal in some states.

However, I'm sure the members can help with any other questions you may have,

And congrats on your 1st pachislo!

What if someone want information on converting a machine to use smaller tokens, could that be discussed?

    Welcome to Pachitalk

i converted a machine back from coin to token... it takes time and patience.. something i lack.. getting it right was a pain... it would not take coin or token..

Well what u was thinking of doing was going to bank and getting 100 bucks worth of quarters to put into machine and then whenever I got change randomly or break a 10 at laundry mat on way home, I'll just throw in all on max bets and see where that takes me. Anyone knows if biohazard 5 has cash option instead of credits?

Just got home from work and checked the machine. I don't see a transformer box with it. Did this new machine not need one? Also where can I find a manual on it?

100v. If you are US based. some people run them as they are. Or find a 110-100v step down transformer

Awesome! Is there any benefit from using step down transformer? Also this is the power cord. Do I need to ground the green wire?

You would be running the machine at its designed voltage. Not 10% higher. The ground is personal choice. I connect mine. But others don't bother

That seems like an odd cord to have polarized plus a ground connection on a wire; but it's about the same as using a 3 prong to polarized adapter, the U part usually gets attached to the outlet screw that holds your outlet face plate on. In most properly wired outlets the middle faceplate screw is ground. That said, I would probably just use a standard 3 prong cord of the kind you likely have on your PC as long as the cord is rated for the current that draws.

Thanks, took your advice and just used computer cord. Few more things though. Anyone know what these buttons are? they are next to change button (1-6). Lastly anyone know why the 3rd week stutters sometimes?

They may be Volume Controls. Easy to check, just move them UP and see if the volume changes.

But they may also be switches for the Big Bonus Setting, (normally they are on the Power Supply), but maybe they're not on this machine.

They have to do with what your machine does after a Bonus Round. They are mainly for Parlor Use, depending what they want the machine to do after someone wins a Big Bonus Round.

One makes the machine payout the 50 credits on the credit meter and the other requires you to reset the machine.

For a Home Setting most members leave them in the OFF position, (which I believe yours are), so after winning a Big Bonus you can continue playing, without having to reset the machine or add 50 tokens again.

You may try to clean the photo sensor on the 3rd reel. There is tab on the reel that passes through the photo sensor. This is what tells the machine where the reel is as it is spinning. If the sensor is dirty/dusty it can't see the tab as well and may shutter. Just use a Q-tip moistened with window cleaner to clean the sensor.

Awesome going to try and clean sensor now. The volume buttons are on top there is 4 knobs to control each speaker and one master volume. I think your right about bonus feature, I'll leave those off.
