Default Pachinko sights while in Japan

Hello. I am leaving this weekend on my first trip to Japan. I will be visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, and some outlying areas in Gifu prefecture during my 3 week stay. If anyone has information on pachinko museums, retro pachinko arcades like this one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3NJJ74umEg) or any other pachinko related places to visit I would appreciate your input. Domo.

Credit for the vid goes to Mr.Gneiss. He posted it on a smartball thread and it caught my attention.

Hey Spyder have a great trip!
Remember for the return trip, Pachinko's are not carry on luggage

Thanks, Goobie. Would be nice to hear, especially if you know of any retro parlors even if it's just for fun and no prize exchanges.

If you are in Japan now I believe odaiba has some retro ish pachinko. Actually one of the modern pachinko parlor I go to has a pachinko with the manual flipper still. The modern ones also have a lot of the mechcanical ones like Tokio delux and bigshooter. I tend to go to PIA, St. tropez, rope, or Aviva. They are all pretty decent and well kept. Not to mention they will help you out on your first time.

Thanks, Goobie. I found Asian Passage at the end of the block my hotel is on and another one a few blocks away I was called pachinko slot top. Was ahead yesterday, can't say the same today. I'll try to find the proper forum to start a trip report on.

I am a seasoned gambler. I'm good at creating a gambling budget and sticking with it, but i can see how it would be easy to get caught up in the newness of playing in a parlor and blow your budget.

Huh arrangeball kinda reminds of the old bingo pinball machines I used to see a lot. Are they still around?

They're around in terms of being in private collections. They haven't been made since '84 as far as I can tell.
