Hello Jim and welcome to the group!!

Are you able to post a picture or two showing the inside of the machine door and area of concern? This can help in getting you some good answers. Which El Vision model/title do you have? Others will be along seeing your post as well.

    hello bob,
thanks for replying. i have a few pictures of the connection. the machine is a yamasa planett 999. cn1 is plugged into the circuit board right below the lcd however the other end is connected to nothing. i see the bracket where it is supposed to be mounted but the is no plug or wire harness o plug into it. i need to know where the wire or harness that plugs into that end originates from or where it should be if it is gone. also if it is gone would anyone know where to get a replacement heres the pics. thanks!

The CN1 connection is for the "Soft Reset" that can be done by turning the door key to the left. It connects to a photo sensor.

I have a different El Vision machine but the internal workings may be the same. Your post encouraged me to get it opened up again. I locked the key inside a month ago. Oops!

The picture below shows what I believe is the video board. I couldn’t tell in your pictures if this is the same for your machine. When I disconnected the large black plug at the bottom, all the video was gone after powering up and playing again. Perhaps this or another cable (or the board) has some damage? Hopefully just loose enough?

Did you try unplugging and reconnecting the cables? Oftentimes this is the easy fix. My bottom black plug has a locking device. If it’s the same, you should feel tabs to squeeze on the sides of the plug.

thanks peteybob...after looking at your picture i realized i wasnt looking at the video connections at all. i was just looking at the board that is on the bottom of the lcd. the plug you showed in your picture was plulgged in on my machine...however when i traced the cord up behind the video circuit box that you showed i found that the other end o the cable was unplugged from the lcd. plugged it back in and now i have elvision that works!! awesome!! i dont think that the guy i bought the machine even knew that elvision worked like that...i dont think he knew it was even there. thank you so much for thinking about that connection ( even tho it was the other end) you led me to it.
    thanks again!!

oh as far as locking the key in the machine...i read on another post that there is a hole in the bottom of the machine that you can reach through and trip the latch to open the door. i looked and there is a hole. hopefully you can reach the latch thru it. again thanks. elvision is awesome!!!!!!

Not sure if this is what you mean? but just in case, here's a link to translation for the Hall Menu on a similar yamasa model called 'Tekken R'

I’m not sure how and didn’t find a way to post PDF files here without using another website. Am I missing an option to upload such files? I sent a couple files to jmilr1839 via email.
