Default Is there a way to save payout level after power off?

I just got my first machine 3 days ago for my basement bar room. So far we are having a lot of fun with it, but still learning the operation and how everything works. One thing I have noticed is that when I change the odds payout level, it goes away after powering the machine off and resets back to level 1. So is there a way to save it so it stays where I want it when the machine turns on? A more basic question might be, how often does everyone power their machines off? Should I just be letting it run all the time? This will be in my home bar room, which isn't going to be used all the time so it wouldn't really make sense to let it run. What does everyone else do with their machines?

So far, I am digging this site and the community in general. I have already started researching mods and have a couple volume controls on order. If it makes any difference, my machine is a Tarot Master made by Macy. Thanks.

just about all of us use a powerstrip to turn our machines on and off.

if you use the machine on/off switch your transformer will still be getting power. not too good of an idea

the machines do not have a save battery, a capicator is used for saving info and many don't have enough power left for that job.

So every time you play it, you open it up and change the payout level? I guess it's not a huge deal, it would just be nice to know if there was a better way.

I have some that will hold memory for days or weeks, a few don't.

    Congratulations on your new machine.

I'm guessing the machine shows an error code, every time you turn it ON?

If it does, then as Luckydog already stated, the capacitor that holds the memory is no longer working. In a Parlor setting the machine would of been ON, 24/7. The need for some type of long term memory wouldn't of been necessary, so the machine wasn't designed for it.

I have some machines that have never lost their memory and others that need reset every time, on power up. You might try leaving the machine ON for 7 or 8 hours and see if the power will build up in the capacitor and then maybe hold it's charge.

I have a couple of machines that if I turn them ON, every week for 3 or 4 hours, they will hold a charge and not need to be reset. If I go any longer than a week, they error on power up.

I'm sure you will find that the machine is much more enjoyable to play with volume controls.

One of my pachislos wasn't holding the memory. I replaced the faulty 0.22 farad super cap with a 1.5 farad one and no problems now.
