Default New pachinko machine : Sankyo Stellar 2000

    Hi,

I bought a pachinko machine for 45$ in a garage sale last week-end, the guy told me it was jammed, so for that price I figured I would take a chance and try to fix it.

I've been having quite some fun trying to understand it but I was never able to make the ball propeller work.

My 2 hypothesis is that either the electricity doesn't reach the motor or that the motor itself is broken.

Unfortunately I dont have an electrical tester to see if power get to the propeller.

    Other problems:
    • 2 wires seem broken. I tried putting them together, doesn't seem to do much.
    • I'm not sure of all the condition to make the machine work, other that having the tray filled up.
    • There is a motor spinning that I have no idea what it does. See video.

There are some photo and 2 quick videos.

I don't have anything in this frame. Sorry. So not sure how it is put together. But normally the shooter motor is connected straight to the hammer via a cam. Like the one on the motor that is turning. Maybe. Remove the shooter assembly and check for any damage or broken gears

I'm sure someone will have more info than my random guess work.

The spinning motor is part of the payout system and appears to be working normally....I've got a couple of machines in this same frame...will post some photos of the back after work if yours is still not working....to test it,load the upper tray on the back of the machine and drop balls into the pockets for a basic payout...then try the numbered pockets, the "1" pockets will open the wings on either side of the center feature once briefly to allow a ball (or more) to enter that area...the "2" pocket will open the wings twice in a row...at that point if your able to get a ball in the "V" pocket located somewhere in the center feature it will start a "fever" (it will start going crazy and repeatedly open the wings)...this will continue as long as you get another ball in the "V" pocket...up to 15 rounds...failure to do so will end the "fever"

    A quick update:

I spend a few more hours tonight to try to understand my machine.

I bought a electric tester and realized that the electricity reach the motor. It seem that the connection from the handle was not going trough. I connected the 2 pin together with a wire and the motor started to work! I will fix the handle a bit later.

I found 2 other problems tough:

    1. The balls have hard time to go in the chamber. I need to push them a little. I couldn't not figure how to open the front. I will check other threads to find info.
    2. The payout dont go through. Again, there is a few parts I dont quite understand. for example there is a bracket at the top that is always closed preventing the balls to go in the payout chamber.

@alphaminor: I would appreciate any photo that you can provide of the back of your machine! I will also search the forum for more information on my models!

Thank for the help so far!

A quick update, with some video.

I manage to enter different level of fever (with no prizes). I am not sure if there is something wrong or if I didn't fulfill the conditions to get a prize...

You can notice that I'm pushing the balls with my finger, it's because the ball doesn't reach the propeller automatically.

I took 2 other video to show where it propell the ball, maybe someone has a idea why the ball doesnt get there automatically?

Ps: sorry for putting 3 videos, I'm trying to put my post as informative as possible...

    1st

To open the Front of your Pachinko Machine I see that you have keys in the lock in front when you turn the key in the lock Clockwise does the front playfield door open ? If not behind the lock should be a door release lever . on the front ball tray on either the left or right on top there should be a vertical metal button that you press down to Open the ball tray Door and check for dirt or any blockage and please take some photos to post here to see if any part is missing or in the wrong position .
When things don't go right the 1st time , Step back ,Take a break and come back renewed. RGS

On the back. You have to make sure the ball stop is up and allowing balls to enter the payout assembly. You only need it down and stopping the balls if you are going to remove the payout assembly for maintenence

Sorry for not taking those pics,I've got to do a little digging to get to the machine
Will do that this afternoon...sounds like something inside the upper tray is not allowing the balls to go completely in

I saw your message at work and I didn't quite understand, I tough the key was only to open the door. After inspection I found the lever and I was able to open the tray, and the play area windows!

Sure enough, there was a screw stuck in there! Now it flow very smoothly!

Tomorrow I will try to make the payout work! There is still lot of backets in the payout I dont understand... I will take some photo tonight!

Thank all for the help so far! I'm one step closer to have a working machine

Have made a rough video of the payout mech in action...
It looks like I have a couple of plastic "hooks" broken off on mine but I don't think that's effecting the payout

Tonight I fixed the pressure on my handle and its all nice now... I didn't play with the payout not to wake up the kids.

However, I noticed a switch with 3-4 settings inside the door.

Do anyone has any idea what it does?
