    Default Restoration Recommendations

    Hi--

I would appreciate recommendations for restorers for my Nishijin machine circa 1973, 1974. I have received quotes from two, but they are so different in price it is hard for me to tell, which is the better quote. (The machine has great sentimental value for me, so I am not interested in sending it off only to have it come back not fully restored.) Any assistance people could give would be greatly appreciated. From my research, it seems there is no one who does this work in my area.

    Much thanks.

Where are you at in California and what level of restoration are you interested in? I know of one member in northern california that does restoration/refurb of vintage machines. I have seen his work up close and it's good if you're looking to have things cleaned up, rewired, mechanics back to working order, and basic cabinet work. If you're looking to have water stained playfields replaced or other work that deviates from the "it's only original once" mindset, then he may pass on your restoration. I think most of the other restorers here are midwest/east coast with the exception of cardwwi in Oklahoma. He may be the closest if you're in SoCal. Best of luck and Welcome to PachiTalk.

yes we have a few members that do do full restorations.. as for price i can speak for them...

my recommendation is to reach out to them.. send the best high quality pictures you can and tell them what your expecting.. that way each can give you a quote based on your expectations.. take a looot at there web site so you can see the work preformed and talk to them on the phone so your both on the same page...

a cell replacement is a long process. with the talented members here im sure you can get a top notch job with who ever you choose...

    and of course
