Default Pachislo sammy thermal circuit breaker

    Hi,

Working on a Sammy slot machine. The "thermal circuit" breaker at the transformer is broken off. I can see the internal pins and jumper them together and the machine works. I am assuming the push button end has broken off, I can't see it (push button side) in the machine anywhere. So I have very little info to try and find the breaker to replace it.

So is it actually a push button type breaker or just an inline fuse?

Any details, pics or specs would be welcome. If it can be purchased somewhere that info would be helpful also.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ok, some pics. Looking for this part, you can see the jumper. Fits into the transformer frame (hole) on the LH side of the picture.

I've had some machines with those installed on them. Everyone of them ended up looking just like your picture.

There was a company that added these to their machines, in their "refurbishing process". I really don't see a need for it and removed it totally.
If you turn your machine ON/OFF, using the switch on the power supply. Power would still be going to the transformer and I'm guessing it was installed, in case the transformer overheated.

If you plug your machine into a power strip, with an ON/OFF switch, and turn it ON or OFF using the switch on the power strip, there will be no power to the transformer, when OFF. This is how you should turn your machine ON/OFF. Or, unplug it completely from the wall.

Anyway, I removed them and have been playing the machines over 4 years with no problems.

(Just because "some company" thought it was needed, doesn't mean that it is really necessary.)
What if...the HOKEY POKEY, is what it's all about?

if you wanted additional safety, you could replace it with a standard fuse holder, Or find the spec of the original,
