    Hi Newkid3,

    My Arex looks like it has the same internals as your machine. I’ve been unable to replicate your problem but it looks like you have full power. Do your tokens drop to the outside tray or to the hopper inside?

    Perhaps you have a wire that is not making the right connection. If you haven’t done so yet, (with machine unplugged) check wires for cracks or breaks from maybe getting pinched in the door. Also check inside the wire harness connections for a bent pin. If you find one then be very careful straightening it out being they break easily!

    In my picture you should see most of the same LED’s lit up. The far left three appear to indicate the power voltages. The far right three go on and off randomly with game play when the reels spin. The two next to those seem to be indicating a ready state? In the center bottom area I have 3 LED’s that are constantly on and five are always off so far. In your picture #5 only one, the LE7 LED is on.

    I don’t know what all of these center LED’s refer back to but are labeled LE4-LE11. What is lit up for me are the following:
    LE4 = ACM
    LE5 = AUM
    LE7 = ?PS (unable to open locked case to read behind plastic frame, I assume power supply)

    LE6 = URT
    LE8 = Key (LED comes on only when the reset key is turned on)
    LE9 = RST (LED comes on only when the rest button on power supply or inside of door is pressed)
    LE10 = ME2
    LE11 = ME1

    Okay so looks like the LE4+5 LED’s don’t need to be on for game play. These are related to the two switches at the bottom of the power supply under the counters. When switched to the right the LED’s are on. I don’t recall the function of both but one (or both – when off) pertain to needing to perform a soft reset (turning the door key to the left) after a large bonus round. When in the off position, your credits empty to your front tray and the game will chime alerting the need for a soft reset. When on, this will not happen and you just keep playing again. I just leave them both on.

    LE4 = ACM
    LE5 = AUM

    Also just to confirm some additional info (from member Chrisdice)

    Two switches on the power supply:
    - One requires a soft reset at the end of a bonus.
    - The other pays out all tokens at the end of a bonus.

    For these switches in most cases off is in the down or right position. The for off and on are:

    無 = off

    有 = on

    Sorry all, I had my on and off turned around. Left is "on", right is "off". I just leave them both off.

    I went through every action I could think of to figure out the meaning of each LED on the main board. Other than to satisfy my own overly curious mind, perhaps this can help someone else later in time.

    LED’s that appear to always be on are:
    LE1, LE2, LE3, power sources (bottom left)
    LE7, power out of board? (bottom center)
    LE15, LE16, pending bet to be made (bottom right)
    LE26, power into board? (top center)

    Arex Pachislo Control Board.jpg

    LED lights on main control board in 1999 Arex Pachislo by Aruze corp. as seen on my machine.
    Same internal setup as Aruze Hanabi (http://www.pachislodb.com/db-AREX.html)

    Far left – 3 lights labeled LE1-LE3
    All 3 always on

    LE1 = DC+24V
    LE2 = DC+5V
    LE3 = DC+30V

    Center – 8 lights labeled LE4-LE11 are the following:

    LE4 = ACM (credits won meter lower right in power supply unit-LED lit when switched off-to the right)
    LE5 = AUM (credits used meter lower left in power supply unit-LED lit when switched off-to the right)
    LE6 = URT (LED comes on when performing a soft reset with the door key turning left)
    LE7 = ?PS (power supply out from board? - unable to open locked case to read behind plastic frame)
    LE8 = Key (LED comes on only when the power supply reset key is turned on)
    LE9 = RST (LED comes on only when the reset button on power supply or inside of door is pressed)
    LE10 = ME2 (Token Memory? LE10+11 both flash when token inserted)
    LE11 = ME1 (Token Memory? LE10+11 both flash when token inserted)

    LE7 is always on unless the following:
    18 wire harness between power supply and main board issue/disconnected
    60 wire harness between inside of door and main board issue/disconnected
    9 wire harness to token acceptor issue/disconnected

    Right – 13 lights labeled LE12-LE20 + LE22-LE25

    LE12 = STR (LED comes on when joystick is pressed)
    LE13 = CRR (LED flashes when credit release button is pressed)
    LE14 = CR3 (LED flashes when max bet pressed)
    LE15 = CR2 (LED is on and flashes when 2 credit pressed)
    LE16 = CR1 (LED is on and flashes when 1 credit pressed)
    LE17 = SP3 (LED flashes as reel spin #3 stops)
    LE18 = SP2 (LED flashes as reel spin #2 stops)
    LE19 = SP1 (LED flashes as reel spin #1 stops)
    LE20 = HPC (LED flashes when hopper paying out)
    LE21 = N/A
    LE22 = OFB (LED comes on when overflow bin error detected)
    LE23 = RE3 (LED comes on randomly with reel #3 spin)
    LE24 = RE2 (LED comes on randomly with reel #2 spin)
    LE25 = RE1 (LED comes on randomly with reel #1 spin)

    Top Center

    LE26 = MOD (? - LED always on showing power into the board?)

    Peteybob, thanks for doing all of this. I hope to be able to look at it again Tuesday. I will report back then.

    I am glad to have done it. I hope it can help in getting things working for you and others. This was my first of many Pachi’s a few years ago so I enjoyed pulling it out to play with today! I learned many things today.

    You are in good hands with this group. Never give up on asking questions and searching the forums.

    Ok the one thing i have noticed is my LE26 blinks on and off every so often. I see you said always on. Does yours stay on all the time or does it blink on and off? Thanks

    With only turned on for several minutes and then with various play time I have only seen it to remain on, no blinks. That's not to say that it may not happen or that perhaps it will during a fault of some kind. Perhaps try the old automotive wiggle test. Wiggle the different wires at various points to see if anything changes which could help in finding a bad wire.

    I have wiggled all the wires with no change. If i have the door open and turn it on the LE26 led comes on and stays on for a little bit then it starts blinking off then on about every 30 seconds or so. Can you check and see if yours does this or just stays on solid. The thing is every led light seems to work like your list says they would. I just get no game at all. Nothing but flourescent bulbs light up. Thanks

    My LE26 does stay on solid all the time. I played for a few hours last night checking the light at different stages and intentional errors but no change. I’m sorry but I am at a loss for you at this time. Being you have a different model, not exactly what I have, the light may or may not have anything to do with your problem. Perhaps another member here will add some greater knowledge to help in solving your problem.
