    Default Reels not stopping correctly

Hi, still having some problems with my Olympia Island Music. The reels won't stop where they should. I get a cherry first reel, nothing. I get two bells, it pays out.

The reel sensors are working. Maybe it's the wiring? I'm not sure.

    Thanks in advance.

Has this always happened or is it a new problem??

Have you taken the reels off?? Because its not hard to put the reels back on in the wrong order..

Here are your reel strips. Compare the order of the symbols and if you find a reel out of place, swap the reels to the correct positions.

As MrG says. Did this machine work for you in the past or did you aquire it with this fault?

The question is because. If you got the machine when the fault already existed. A previous owner may have done something odd. Like refit the reel graphics after a clean in the wrong place or replaced a board from a different machine with a different graphic layout

No, the reels never have stopped correctly for me. When I first bought it the reels where in the wrong positions. I put them in the right places and still nothing.

The reel graphics thing sounds like a possibility. How do you know where they should start on a reel?

Hi Alan13, I had a similar issue with my Thunderbirds machine when I replaced a couple broken reels. I figured out that the pin attached between the reel and its motor was in the wrong location from my reassembly work. If my picture loaded correctly, you should see that there are two possible cutouts for this pin to be placed. As the pin would pass thru the sensor, the related board would see the wrong spot on the reel. The main board full of tiny led lights with numbers 1, 2, and 3 going out as I turn each reel to position #1.

Another machine I have (Arex by Aruze) has numbers 1-99 imprinted on the outer edge of the reels which can serve as a guide for the placement of the strips. I believe that the picture from Meathead would be the proper layout with the top being as the number 1 position. I could be wrong but worth the comparing to what you have.

Missed second pic. The top three lights relate to where the reel positions are at.

The reel pin is molded directly onto the reel on this machine. Also, the reel graphics don't seem like they can come off, and there is nothing that would show where it should start or stop, although it does start at the reel pin.

I also checked the LEDs. Luckily there was a diagram of which LED corresponds to which reel, and everything is right.

Okay. I think the wrong board may be in it. Luckily I can read a little Japanese; the board reads "Takarabune" on a sticker. Although Heiwa made that machine and "Olympia" (this machine's manufacturer) is inscribed on the board itself.

Takarabune (宝船), means "Treasure Ship" so you may have the wrong board??

I was trying to get a Fever Queen pachislo to work and put a Hanafuda main board in it,

I did get it working, but, payouts were messed up like yours!

Yea, it's the wrong board. I kept getting 12 coin payouts when the highest on Island Music is 10. The highest on Takarabune is 12. Thanks for all the help guys.

So you either want a set of treasure ship reels or the correct board

It looks like the same board that would fit. Thanks for the help. I'll research it a little more to be sure.
