    Default Circuit board interchangeability

With so many different manufacturers and so many different games out there, I was wondering about interchangeability of circuit boards such as CPU motherboard, sound board, reel stop ,etc. between units. I haven't tried that yet but they look similar between my three machines and the connectors appear to have the same number of pins and alignment best I can tell. I think my question gets down to this, can you swap boards in general or is it occasionally, or a never do thing due to different chip architecture on the boards and programming? I'm looking to have a way to troubleshoot without having to find an exact circuit board part number . I'm still crawling my way along with learning these machines and I want to start walking . Thanks for any suggestions and schooling you can provide.
I may be lost but I'm still making good time...

To the end of the rainbow for info on Pachi's and such . I have been collecting/selling the Modern Pachinkos since 2002 and with the Sankyo Lumina I learn "Cell Swapping " . Now as far as using a board from one cell to one that is not the the same game I really don't think that it would work and maybe cause damage to either or both cells .

Well that's my two pachislo tokens about it other members will be around to share info too
