'Evangelion 6' fault- plunger works but not firing balls
I had a game for the first time in ages. The plunger initially was working and firing balls, then stopped working- still clicking but no balls fired, and sounds loose. I'm assuming something has fallen off/blocked, but how do I open up the machine to get to the plunger to fix it?

Pop open the front glass by turning the door key to the left. Then press the lever in the bottom right corner to open the lower front panel. That's the normal way but some machines differ. Probably fluff stopping balls from reaching the hammer.

Drunkenclam's directions are correct for the Eva 6. I would just add to be careful that the weight of the open doors doesn't send the machine crashing to the ground. The doors are heavy and unless you have a stabilizing base or feet on the machine it will fall forward with the doors open.

This probably sounds dumb but custompachinko didn't give me a key for this machine! Are there generic keys I can buy from somewhere?

You can operate the front glass release from the back of the machine. Look for operating levers/latch (sometimes painted yellow) on the back directly behind the lock.

Well my pachinko repairing skills are growing exponentially (albeit from a rather low level)! Looked like a ball jam around the hammer. Cleared it & it works now. I couldn't find fluff or anything else, though sprayed with an air can.
