Sankyo beach club pachinko machine

Tomorrow i hope to collect a SANKYO Beach Club Pachinko machine .... i am told it does light up and the screen shows movement but you cannot see anything, ... Any ideas would be welcome ....

I have been successful with older machines ... this will will be my first electronic machine ... so i am not familiar with the workings of these ... i suspect i will ask alt of questions about it ... thank you for all help ...

If it was the back light or the invertors ...what would be the fix...

The simple answer is, a new screen or a new invertor. Of course, it might be something else although.

Could be a 'warm up' issue, which Sankyo's are notorious for. I have this game, very nice.

I have one game in a Victory frame like that and as CP said, it needs to warm up, then be turned off and on again (sometimes a ball in the start pocket helps it get gong too) for it to start showing stuff on the screen ..Same as some Lumina fame games!!

Hopefully thats all it is!!

Oh yes, I forgot that, dispite having a Sankyo that does the same thing. Some Sankyos around this time suffer from cold start up, keep it somewhere warm, and turn it on, if nothing happens, leave it on for half an hour, turn it off for 10 seconds of so, then turn it back on again. Always worth opening the front and dropping a ball in the start pocket.

Collected Machine ... Nice clean machine ... 250 ball came with machine (Hurrah!!) ... Came with transformer ... PICTURE 1. Beach club Machine ... PICTURE 4. Back of machine

Faults ...
1. Screen lights and There is movement ... Not working properly ... Picture 2.
2.Audio for screen coming and going ... Not working properly ...
3. Payout not working ... Error 4 ... WORKING NOW
4 Small green light bottom right ... Not lighting ... PICTURE 2. it is the opposite light to the red one bottom left ...
5. Horizontal yellow door at bottom does not seem to open ... So far

Downloaded Sanko Victory Manual ... This is a great help ...

Tried the warm up and reset procedure ... No go ...

Haven't tried pulling plugs and reconnecting yet ... So far its coming to life ... the screen does light up and the lines move and change color ... I take this as a good sign ... At least the screen is not black and blank ... All other bells and lights flashing and working ... Apart for the small one (4.)

This is my first electronic ... Any imput would be welcome ?

Does anybody know when the yellow horizontal door at bottom of cel should open ?

I have just posted update and pictures ... As you have this machine Compirate ... I think you may be a good source of info .... Especially about the horizontal yellow door at bottom of cel ... Which has not opened so far ... Not sure what makes it pop open ... Alll help would be welcome ...

That's the bonus or 'fever' pocket, won't open until you get a bonus/fever (3 like characters in a row on the screen)

I'm sorry but I can't be much help, You know its either the screen or the graphics card.
If you drop a ball in the start pocket, do you get a payout and music from the speakers?

Are all 10 leds lite on the power supply?
if you can get all the way back to the bare screen, remove and reseat the ribbon cable.

Yes all payout pockets work plus music from speakers ... Also sometimes the sound of waves on the shore ...

All 10 LEDS are alight .... No error numbers showing on board ...

Some how I will get back to the bare screen and re seat the ribbon cord ...

Later today i will post a video of the screen running ... It has a series of colored lines which move ...

If it is the graphics card ... Is it replaceable and if so any ideas of cost ... If so which board is it on .. what does it look like ...

Not really my field of expertice but it seems to me like the screen is probably good and the video signal is somehow corrupted. I'd make sure the video hook-up connection is clean and secure. Beyond that, there are far more knowledgeable members here than I.
