Default Where to purchase a Transformer?

Hi Folks! I need to find a 24 VAC 4 or 5 amp transformer for my machine. I've searched everywhere I can on the web. Does anybody have a source? I've had my machine a month and I still don't know if it even works.

    Thanks!

Not sure what the prices are like, but I get mine from RS components. I know they have branches in the US.
Transformers should be easy to find anywhere. Try searching for 120-150VA instead of 5A

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Pachinko-Machine-Pachislo-Slot-Transformer-24-volt-24v-/181739194969?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a50800a59

There's a couple on there cheaper but the listings don't mention voltage and the pic doesn't show the sticker - just says "5A Pachislo Transformer" or some such.

Thank you, I will! Do you know if I could use a laptop charger if it was 24V 5A? Probably a silly question, but I thought i'd ask.

probably not as that would be DC voltage not AC

years ago I had about 30 new 24 volt 8AMP transformers, I sold them all to members here for 8 bucks each plus shipping, I should have kept some

3 or 4 in a large flat rate box were pretty heavy

Sure. You could run several games on an 8 amp transformer.

just make sure you hook the 24 volt transformer wires to your pachi and not the 110

In case you don't need to go to 8 AMP, the 25.2 volt AC, 450 mA power transformer works well for other games (lower needs, like the power flash games). Cat. No. 273-1366A, Radio Shack stuff. GL

Newbie here, so I'm a little confused, would that transformer take the place of the transformer that CarlW posted a link to?

The 10A transformer listed above (http://www.mpja.com/24V-10A-Center-T...fo/27846%20TR/) is out of stock indefinitely. I need 5A, does anyone know any other sources?

I can find a 4A but not sure if that will give enough current (I'm assuming these are conservatively spec'd so might be worth a shot). Powervolt has a 6A for $58 but I'd like to find something cheaper.

    Thanks!
