Default Looking for feedback on a reputable shop to work on Orbit EM machine

I am looking for some leads on shops that work on EM machines..
Preferably local or within driving distance of me in Eastern PA.

Machine in question is a Gottlieb EM Orbit Pin from 1971

This machine did work.. (10+) years ago... at minimum it needs to be gone over with new rubber, contacts cleaned and lubed etc..
I am looking to get this machine up and running again.

    Thanks,

    Rob

I have located shops.. but an AD is just an AD.. no feedback and a big question mark on job performance.

Eddie, a member here, does pinball restoring in New York City. he is a perfectionist and very expensive, but, worth every penny

he does everything from basic repairs, to full blown restorations at his shop.

what's the nature of the problem? go to pinside.com and post the issue there. good chance you can sort it out yourself and you should also buy a schematic.

To be honest this machine has sat for a long, long time. Before I plug it in and blow something up... I'd rather someone who knew something about these machines look at it before I start tinkering.

    just my .02 cents.

Not much of a chance of blowing something up which is one of the many great things about EM machines. When I get a pin and some of them haven't been turned on in decades, I open the hood and backbox and do a search for any obvious issues. Most times though, it'll all look ok. I then replace all fuses with the correct spec ones. The only way to proceed from that point is to turn it on and try and start a game and see what the problems are, if any and this is where a schematic becomes invaluable.. Also, you can post what it's doing on the pinball forums and they'll be of tremendous help. Scan and post your schematic in of the relevant circuits to help the guys on the forums help you.
